I’ve been lucky enough to call British Columbia home for the past two decades and to be surrounded by some of the most naturally beautiful landscapes. I also studied Art History during my time at University, and that really opened my eyes to painting with light, and creating work that spoke to me. Since I have zero skills as a painter, I was lucky enough to find photography and use that as a creative outlet! After picking up a DSLR with a kit lens, I dove into learning as much as possible about photography. My goal has always been to take images that present an accurate portrayal of the moment, and to create a sense of calm and serenity for the viewer. Even if I don’t finish an outing with images that excite me, I come away feeling refreshed and rejuvenated by my time in nature. Mountains have been my favourite subject to shoot, and if I’m not in the mountains, you can find me in the lush, evergreen forests of the Pacific North West. Photography has really changed my life and has led me to explore and seek-out as many new adventures as possible. I truly believe in the old adage that 'A picture is worth a thousand words' and I hope that my work reflects the joy I experience when creating a visual story with my photographs.
